In the latest, IOS 14 there are hundreds of new features and twerks that many of the iPhone users were waiting for. In this article, I am going to tell you a much-anticipated feature for the incoming calls on your iPhone and iPad. Find out how you can use the iPhone incoming call banner in IOS 14.
Before IOS 14 was publicly available, whenever an iPhone user receives an incoming call the whole screen was used. There were only two things that a user can do 1) Answer the call. 2) Wait for the call to end and then continue to do whatever the user was doing before the call.
Maybe the user was busy writing an important email or was reading an important article on iosfy. The call interface was covering the whole screen, most users decline the call to get back to the important work they were doing. However, this behavior is considered rude and most users don’t like it.
Now on the latest IOS 14, all incoming calls are shown as banners at the top of the screen. This incoming call banner allows the user to continue with your task and even silence the call if necessary. Moreover, this feature also works with FaceTime calls too and is also available on iPad OS too.
How To Use The iPhone Incoming Call Banner In IOS 14
To use this feature you have to update your iPhone or iPad to the latest IOS 14 or IOS 14.2.
- When you receive a phone call it will appear as a banner on the top of the screen. You can remove the banner by swiping up on the call banner. Now the call banner will appear at the top left corner of the screen hiding the Time.
- When you receive a call from the call banner, you will get the option to switch the call between iPhone’s earpiece, speakers, or connected headphones right from the banner.
This feature will work only when you are using your iPhone or iPad. In other words, if your iPhone is idle or the device is locked then this feature will not work and the calls you will receive will use utilize the full screen as shown in the picture above.
