Since the invention of Handfrees, headphones with wire, every user at least once faced the issue of hands-free one side not working. Now almost 2 decades are passed now. We travel from wire to wireless technology. Still, the curse of handsfree exists with every user.
Even without wires, the latest technology, highly expensive earbuds, and Airpods are not safe from this curse. But we can’t ignore the issue in the case of Airpods. Users who spent 200$ or more just on these 2 tiny pieces of technologies will never afford the issue with even one side. Well, it is not necessary that the issue is with Hardware. Maybe your phone’s software or some setting like BlueTooth pairing has gone wrong.
Fix One side of Airpods not working issue
So, to clarify the issue and fix it, we brought some useful solutions. Perform these solutions one by one and don’t break the sequence. Every next solution will be more potentially strong than the previous one. So let’s begin the guide with the most basic solution.
Airpods Battery Check:
You can check the remaining battery of Airpods through the iPhone Swipe up a menu from home. Connect the Airpods with iPhone through Bluetooth. Play some music and check the Airpods remaining battery, an icon will be shown on the screen as you can see in the screenshot. If you found a low battery charge the Airpods first with a genuine adapter and cable.
Personally noticed: I have noticed that sometimes Airpods both sides have a battery difference. Once gets off but others one still works fine. So charge the Airpods to complete once. Just to clear that issue is with the battery or some other bug is messing.
Forget and Repair:
Maybe one side of Airpod is not properly paired with iPhone/iPad/iPod. So the best solution to clarify this understanding, unpair the Airpods first.
- Head over to iPhone settings.
- Tap on the BlueTooth option.
- Tap and hold on Airpods from the listed devices.
- Click on the Forget option.
Once the device forgot them Airpods again pair the phone with Airpods again. After pairing, fix the Airpdos in years and play some music. Hopefully this time you will not face the issue. If the bone is still in the throat then proceed to the next solutions.
Reset Network settings and reboot phone
The final option to rectify the issue is to reset network settings. Don’t worry network settings reset only restore the iPhone to default settings. Your Whole data will remain saved and secure.
- From the home screen, tap on Settings.
- Select General.
- Scroll down and tap on Reset.
- Tap Reset all settings from the given options.
- Enter your passcode if prompted to continue.
- Confirm the action by tapping the option to reset system settings on your iPhone.
These are the possible software solutions that you can attempt to make your Airpods both side work. If all these solution failed to fix the Left or Right AirPods Not Working then the Hardware issue is confirmed. Contact the Apple Support for further assistance.
